The full service Holiday Inn is the largest and most central hotel in Cody, WY, located next to Buffalo Inn Village by the junction of Hwy 120 with US 14/16/20 - 52 miles from the east entrance to Yellowstone National Park. It has 189 rooms, arranged in three blocks around a sheltered garden with outdoor pool; accommodation is somewhat dated but comfortable and spacious. The on-site restaurant/lounge is open all day (plus room service), and catering is available to support the meetings facilities, which comprise ten rooms totaling nearly 9,000 sq ft. Other amenities are a fitness center, gift shop, laundry, business center, and a complimentary shuttle to the local airport.

Open spring 2021, the Hampton Inn is part of a semi-rural neighborhood near the west edge of Cody, at the junction of Southfork Road (Hwy 291) with US 14, 22 miles from the Shoshone National Forest and 47 miles from Yellowstone National Park's east entrance. In the vicinity are several restaurants and a Walmart store, plus walking trails along the Shoshone River. Hot breakfast and wi-fi are complimentary, while amenities include a fitness center and an indoor pool.

Best Western Premier Ivy Inn has a prominent location along Yellowstone Avenue on the west side of Cody, close to Buffalo Bill Historical Center, Olive Glen Golf & Country Club and several restaurants; the town center is a mile east, while a shopping complex including Wal-Mart is a mile west. 8th Street restaurant/bar, on the premises, is a full service establishment serving breakfast, lunch & dinner, just one of a good number of amenities - the hotel also offers an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, convenience store, business center and meeting space.

On the west side of Cody, the Best Western Sunset Motor Inn occupies quite a spacious, tree-lined site along US 14/16/20, one block south of Buffalo Bill Historical Center. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby though the hotel is also just a short walk away from unspoilt countryside by the Shoshone River. Guests have a choice of 120 rooms, all on the ground floor, looking out over the landscaped gardens, which include an outdoor pool and childrens' playground. Inside are another pool, a hot tub, fitness room, laundry, meetings/banquet facilities and the Sunset House restaurant - serving breakfast, lunch & dinner. Continental breakfast is free.

Cody's Comfort Inn is part of the Buffalo Inn Resort complex, right in the center of town at the junction of Sheridan Avenue and 16th Street - within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and other attractions like the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. The hotel offers 74 nice clean rooms (some with refrigerator/microwave), a gift shop, newsstand, complimentary airport shuttle, and free internet access. Guests have use of the restaurant, bar, outdoor pool and meetings facilities at the Holiday Inn next door.

Super 8 Cody has a pleasant location on the west edge of town, backing on to a grassy hill, with views west to the mountains at either side of Shoshone Canyon. In the other direction, the main road (Yellowstone Avenue) soon reaches the city center, putting guests within easy walking distance of many shops, restaurants & bars. The motel is set back slightly from the highway and so provides quiet accommodation. All rooms contain a microwave and refrigerator; other facilities are a business center, free wi-fi and free eight-item continental breakfast.

Rodeway Inn Cody is a single story, exterior corridor property offering just the basic amenities, of free wi-fi, free continental breakfast and a microwave/refrigerator in each guest room. The place has a southerly location in the city, a short walk from the edge of Beck Lake; the downtown area is one mile away. There are several restaurants in the vicinity, and two large stores (Kmart, Albertson's)
