The DoubleTree hotel is located in the center of downtown Billings along Montana Avenue, 1.5 miles from I-90 exit 450 (27th Street); it occupies a distinctive 23 story building, towering above the surrounding low rise neighborhood, and so provides excellent views across the city towards distant mountains from all the 289 rooms and suites. The hotel has its own restaurant - Montana Sky, on the 20th floor - open for breakfast & dinner, plus a lounge/bar and a Starbucks outlet serving breakfast and snacks. Also on site is a fitness center, gift shop, staffed business center and 16,000 sq ft of meeting/event space. A free shuttle is provided to places within a 5 mile radius, including Billings Logan Airport (2.5 miles).

Courtyard Billings is a large, full service Marriott hotel, open late 2024, in one of the main commercial/business districts in town, just west of the intersection of I-90 and Bus 90. In the vicinity are many shops and restaurants, though natural landscapes are just a short drive away, to the south, to trails and parkland beside the Yellowstone River. North-facing guest rooms overlook several small lakes. The hotel offers all the expected facilities, including onsite restaurant, meeting space, and a swimming pool.

Like most hotels in Billings the Residence Inn by Marriott is located on the southwest side of the city, accessed from I-90 exit 446 though situated a few blocks from the interstate in a quiet business neighborhood. There are many restaurants and large stores nearby, while the downtown area is a quick 4 mile drive away along Laurel Road. The hotel features 92 suites in two bed, one bed or studio configurations, all with a fully equipped kitchen, large work desk and extra sofa bed. Daily breakfast buffet is free, as is the evening social hour (Mon-Thu). Leisure amenities are a fitness center, sports court, hot tub and indoor pool.

Homewood Suites Billings is part of a small group of hotels right on the southwest edge of the city, just off Interstate 80, near a few shops and restaurants but within sight of the open countryside; in the Broso Valley district. The all-suite property offers studio, one bedroom and two bedroom accommodations, all featuring a full kitchen and a separate living area. Daily hot breakfast and evening receptions (Monday to Thursday) are complimentary. Bbq grills and a fire pit provide an alternative to in-room cooking; provisions can be ordered via the free grocery delivery service. A business center and a 25 person meeting room are also available, while leisure facilities include an indoor saline pool, a fitness center and a billiards room.

Hilton Garden Inn Billings is one of many hotels around the Homestead Business Park, just west of I-90 exit 446, close to Rimrock Mall and many other large stores. Accommodation comprises 128 well appointed guest rooms, all featuring a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, HDTV, executive desk and luxurious bedding, part of an impressive 5 story building in a quiet setting, one block from the main road. The on site Great American Grill restaurant is open for breakfast in the morning and room service in the evenings; there is also a lobby bar and a 24 hour convenience store selling snacks and drinks. Leisure facilities are the usual pool (indoor) and fitness center, plus a jogging track outside.

The westernmost hotel in Billings is the Hampton Inn & Suites, a large property of four floors and 101 guest rooms, which have views over lightly developed, semi-rural surroundings. Access is from I-90 exit 443 (Zoo Road), and the hotel is far enough (0.3 miles) from the interstate to escape the noise of traffic. In the other direction, the road continues to Zoo Montana, a ten minute walk away; also in the vicinity are several restaurants. Accommodations comprise standard rooms and studio suites, the latter with sofa bed and wet bar. Free hot breakfast is provided each morning, together with all the usual facilities for leisure, meetings and business.

The free hot breakfast at Hampton Inn Billings is provided in a take out version for guests in a hurry, while for lunch/dinner there are several restaurants a a short walk away to the east. Also nearby (one block) is Geyser Park Family Fun Center, featuring golf, go-karts, pools and other attractions. The 120 room/suite hotel backs onto I-90 near exit 447 (Billings Boulevard); on the south edge of the city, 1.5 miles from the Yellowstone River; its chief amenities are an indoor pool, business & fitness centers, meeting space and a free shuttle to Billings Logan Airport (5.5 miles north). Selected suites contain a full kitchen.

The TownePlace Suites is among the westernmost hotels in Billings, part of a business/commercial district one mile from Interstate 90; there are many restaurants within walking distance, and such stores as Lowe's, Walmart, Home Depot and Ross. The immediate surroundings are quiet as the hotel is positioned along a side street, right opposite another Marriott property, the Residence Inn. Accommodations comprise 91 suites in two bedroom, one bedroom and studio layouts, all of which include a full kitchen. The hotel also has a meeting room, convenience store and bbq area. Complimentary continental breakfast is served.

One of four Marriott hotels in Billings, the SpringHill Suites accommodates guests in 79 studio suites, all with a mini kitchen, sofa bed, free wi-fi, luxury bedding and separate areas for living, dining & sleeping. Complimentary hot breakfast is provided each morning and there are plenty of nearby restaurants for other meals - the hotel is close to one of the main shopping/entertainment districts in Billing, on the southwest side of the city, near I-90 exit 446. Other facilities include a fitness center, indoor pool, business center and meeting space.

Only a gas station separates Holiday Inn Express Billings from open countryside - the new-looking property has a peaceful, semi-rural setting on the west edge of the city in the Trans Tech district, half a mile from the Zoo Drive exit of Interstate 90, and seven miles from the downtown area. In the other direction, ZooMontana is just one mile away. The 89 room/suite hotel offers all the familiar, reliable Holiday Inn Express amenities, including free hot breakfast buffet, indoor pool/whirlpool, fitness center and business center. A small selection of restaurants are within walking distance.

Holiday Inn Express Billings is the only hotel on the east side of the city, next to exit 445 of interstate 90 (one mile from the I-94 intersection) - near a few restaurants and a travel plaza, in an otherwise residential neighborhood. The city center is 5 miles west, and Logan International Airport is 8 miles away. The main amenity is the free hot breakfast buffet; also available are a fitness center, pool, hot tub, business center and guest laundry. Accommodation comprises 66 one- or two-bed rooms, equipped with a coffee maker, hairdryer, work desk and free wi-fi.

Open summer 2025, Candlewood Suites Billings is part of the Trans Tech district, on the west side of the city; situated along a quiet side road off Hwy 302, near I-90 exit 443. Billings Logan International Airport is 9 miles away. The hotel offers extended stay/all-suite accommodations, with amenities of a market, business & fitness centers and a gazebo with bbq grills. All suites contain a full kitchen.

The SureStay Plus Hotel has a relatively quiet location along a side street, off King Avenue 2 miles from the I-90 intersection (exit 446), near a few shops and restaurants. Open countryside starts a few blocks west, and upper floor rooms have fine views towards the surrounding hills. Accommodations, all equipped with microwave/refrigerator, include a selection of suites with sofa bed and extra living space. Hot breakfast is complimentary, while the other main amenities are an indoor pool, coin-operated laundry and a fitness center.

The full service, 127 room Best Western Plus Clocktower Inn provides comfortable, affordable lodging in downtown Billings, with amenities of an outdoor pool, sauna, fitness center, free airport shuttle, meeting space and a restaurant (Stella's Kitchen and Bakery), open for breakfast and lunch; there are many other restaurants a short walk away. The hotel is located along 1st Avenue, 1.5 miles from I-90 and 2.5 miles from Billings International Airport. Small pets are permitted, for a fee.

Best Western Kelly Inn is part of a small group of new hotels on the south side of Billings, near I-90 exit 447 in a lightly developed, mixed residential/commercial neighborhood, 3 miles from downtown. The handsome, timber-clad, three floor building contains 89 rooms (with refrigerator/microwave), a fireplace lobby, 24 hour fitness center, convenience store, meeting space and an unusually well-featured indoor pool including waterfalls, slides and other equipment. Several kinds of suite are available in addition to the regular accommodations, featuring a hot tub bath and/or fireplace. Free deluxe continental breakfast is provided each morning.

Fairfield Inn Billings sits just across the street from a Marriott sister property (SpringHill Suites), close to the busy exit 446 of I-90 (King Avenue), along the access route to a major shipping/dining district (Rimrock Mall) on the southwest edge of the city. Amenities include an indoor pool/hot tub, a comfortable lobby with guest-use computers, and a complimentary breakfast bar featuring a waffle station and hot sandwiches. The 63 bright, clean guest rooms all have a work desk, free wi-fi, hairdryer and ironing facilities.

Open early 2024, the Avid hotel Billings is the first of this brand in Montana, and it has a westerly location in town, part of a group of lodging at the I-90/Hwy 302 intersection, close to the start of open countryside. Leisure facilities in the vicinity include an indoor waterpark (The Reef), just across the road, and Zoo Montana, one mile west. There is one restaurant adjacent. Hotel features include a fitnes center, pool/hot tub, and free breakfast.

Although I-90 runs past close by to the north, Howard Johnson Billings has a quiet, peaceful setting, bordered by open farmland to the west. All accommodations face west, looking across the good sized parking lot, and all contain a microwave and refrigerator. Free continental breakfast is available, with other meals provided by two adjacent restaurants. Recreation facilities are an indoor pool (plus waterslide), a hot tub and a small fitness center. Guests here to work have use of a business center and two meeting rooms. The hotel is 3.7 miles from the city center.

An indoor pool, hot tub, business center and free breakfast are the main amenities of Baymont Inn Billings, an older but reasonably-priced hotel on the southwest edge of the city, near Rimrock Mall. There are several restaurants adjacent including Denny's, and nearby interstate 90 puts other area attractions within easy reach; the hotel is one block from exit 446 (King Avenue). All of the 60 oversized guest rooms have a tea/coffee maker, ironing facilities, microwave and refrigerator. Pets are welcome, for a small fee.

Along with over a dozen other hotels, the pet friendly Days Inn Billings is situated at the King Avenue exit of Interstate 90, 3 miles southwest of the downtown area, in a small business/industrial district through close to the edge of the countryside. The place has two storys and interior corridors, but few facilities: just a guest-use computer and a dining room where the free continental breakfast is served. Also complimentary are wi-fi, a daily newspaper and a shuttle to Billings Airport, 5.5 miles north.

Super 8 Billings occupies a new-looking, interior corridor building of three floors and 106 rooms, located, like most other hotels in the city, close to I-90 exits 446 and 447, in a relatively lightly developed area near the edge of the countryside. The best selection of restaurants and shops is between 1 and 2 miles west, along King Avenue. The usual two complimentary amenities of wi-fi and continental breakfast are provided, plus an indoor pool and fitness center. A small function room is available for meetings and receptions.
