Butte Hotels

Rooms at Hampton Inn Butte are comfortable, quiet and have mountain views; amenities include a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hairdryer and work desk. The hotel is fairly new, located along Harrison Avenue (Hwy 393), half a mile south of the interstate and part of a corridor of shops, restaurants and other businesses that extends another 1.5 miles south to the local airport (Bert Mooney, BTM). Other nearby sites are Butte Country Club, Stodden Park and the World Museum of Mining. The Hampton has the usual facilities of a business center, meeting room, pool, hot tub and fitness room, plus a dining area for the free continental breakfast.

Like most hotels in Butte, the Wingate has a southeasterly location in town beside I-15 exit 127 (Harrison Avenue), adjacent to a few restaurants and small shops. Within walking distance on the far side of the interstate is Butte Plaza, with such stores as K-Mart and JC Penney. Just across the street from the motel, Father Sheehan Park has sports facilities and trails, alongside Blacktail Creek. The main facilities of the three floor, interior corridor hotel are free breakfast, a fitness center, indoor pool, business center and meeting space for up to 40 guests.

The Holiday Inn Express opened July 2013, built in a generally residential area in the south central area of Butte, though adjacent to a corridor of unspoilt countryside along Blacktail Creek, explorable by trail. The hotel offers 84 good sized rooms including several types of suite, such as kids suites with bunks and Xbox system, and family suites containing a full kitchen. There are three restaurants within a couple of blocks and plenty more within half a mile, on the far (south) side of I-15/90. Free hot breakfast is provided; other facilities are the expected fitness center, indoor pool, laundry, business center and meeting space.

The full service Best Western Plus Butte Plaza Inn sits next to I-15/90 towards the south side of town, adjacent to several restaurants, shops and the golf course at Butte Country Club. The hotel is quite large, with 134 nicely-decorated rooms and a long list of amenities, principally free full breakfast, an on-site lounge, restaurant & casino, a pool, fitness center, sauna & hot tub, a business center and meeting/banquet facilities for up to 80 guests. Some of the rooms contain a refrigerator and microwave.

The first Marriott property in Butte, MT, opened late 2016, close to several other hotels; at the Harrison Avenue exit of I-90, 3 miles southeast of the city center. The four story, 86 room/suite Fairfield Inn adjoins a sports park and is within walking distance of Butte Paza Mall on the opposite side of the interstate; there are many restaurants in the vicinity. Hotel features include a brightly decorated lobby, a fitness center & pool, free wi-fi and good quality complimentary breakfast, with a selection of hot items.

The well-reviewed Super 8 motel in Butte receives favorable comments for its friendly staff, the comfortable, clean rooms, the affordable rates and the good location, right next to I-15/I-90 adjacent to shopping and dining. Guests are also within a short walk of a streamside sports park, and the local golf course. Wi-fi and eight-item continental breakfast are complimentary. Pets are permitted, for a small fee. Laundry and a small business center are the only other amenities.
