La Junta Hotels

Hampton Inn-La Junta opened summer 2009 on the west side of town along the southern US 50 frontage road, in a lightly developed area close to a few restaurants and shops including Wal-Mart. There are 62 rooms available, all clean, modern and welcoming, and equipped with a microwave. Free hot breakfast is served each morning, or a free snack bag for guests in a hurry. A fitness room and indoor pool are the two leisure facilities, while a business center and boardroom are available for those here to work.

The Holiday Inn Express is by general consensus the best of the small selection of hotels in La Junta, CO, offering 59 clean rooms, a pool/hot tub, exercise room, meeting/event facilities, and free hot breakfast. Pets are welcome for a small fee. The hotel has a semi-rural location at the west edge of town along US 50, close to the Arkansas River; there are a couple of restaurants nearby though a better selection is found a mile or two east towards the center of La Junta. The main recreation site in this part of Colorado is John Martin Reservoir, 25 miles further east.
