Southeast Colorado Springs Hotels

The DoubleTree is a large, full service hotel with a prominent location at the Lake Avenue exit of I-25, adjacent to a shopping center and a small artificial lake; 3 miles south of downtown and 8 miles from Colorado Springs Airport. Colorado Springs World Arena is half a mile south. Accommodations include oversized regular rooms, most with microwave/refrigerator, and a selection of suites which have a balcony and separate living area. The Atrium Cafe serves breakfast, lunch & dinner in a relaxed, open setting (room service available); other outlets are the lobby lounge and Maxi's, a sports bar open afternoon and evening. An outdoor pool, fitness center, games room, business center and 25,000 sq ft of meeting space are just some of the other facilities.

Both business and leisure travelers are well catered for by Courtyard Colorado Springs South, a clean & modern hotel close to Fort Carson near the south edge of town. Free high speed internet access is provided throughout, each spacious guest room has a large work desk, and the Courtyard has a full business center and a 700 sq ft meeting room. Leisure amenities comprise an indoor pool and whirlpool (plus hot tubs in some of the suites), while the two main natural attractions near Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods, are a few miles away westwards. The hotel is located one mile west of exit 138 of I-25 along Lake Avenue, close to plenty of shops and restaurants, though breakfast is available on site at the Bistro restaurant.

The Residence Inn along Geyser Drive is one of a pair of Marriott hotels (Fairfield Inn is the other) near the south edge of Colorado Springs beside exit 138 of I-25, half a mile from World Arena and within walking distance of various facilities including shops, restaurants and a movie theater. The place is clean, well managed, not too expensive, and offers many amenities; free full breakfast, free weekday evening reception, a sports court, hot tub, pool, fitness center, business center and free internet access. Studio, one bed and two bed suites are available, all equipped with a full kitchen.

The southernmost of several Hampton Inn properties in Denver is also the closest hotel to the World Arena, overlooking the north side of its extensive parking lot. Also within walking distance, in the opposite direction, is Cheyenne Mountain Shopping Center which includes a good selection of restaurants and a movie theater. The hotel has easy access from I-25 which runs past just to the east. Free hot breakfast (take out version available), free wi-fi, an indoor pool/hot tub, business & fitness centers and a 40-person meeting room are the main amenities.

Open summer 2020, the Holiday Inn Express is now the southernmost hotel in Colorado Springs, prominently situated at the I-25/Academy Boulevard intersection, adjoining a shopping complex with Walmart, Sam's Club and a selection of restaurants. Within a few miles are several city parks and the more extensive wilderness of Cheyenne Mountain. The mid range hotel provides all the expected amenities, including 24 hour business & fitness centers, an indoor pool, meeting space and free hot breakfast buffet.

The most central of several Best Western hotels in Colorado Springs is the Executive Inn along Harrison Road, beside exit 138 (Lake Avenue) of I-25 and about 3 miles south of the city center. It has 2 floors and 84 large, clean rooms, some with refrigerator, microwave & extra sofa bed, and about half having fine views of the mountains to the west. The expected free continental breakfast is available; for other meals there are many fast food places along the main road. Also nearby (1 mile) is the Colorado Springs World Arena. The hotel has a pool, exercise room and hot tub.

Fairfield Inn Colorado Springs/South is a newer example of the budget Marriott hotel brand, and it has an easy-to-reach location next to I-25 exit 138, close to a movie theater, various restaurants & large stores, and 0.3 miles from Colorado Springs World Arena. The building overlooks a small artificial lake, and many of the rooms have views over Pikes Peak and the Front Range, a few miles away to the west. A nice free breakfast is served each morning, including a few hot items, and the hotel has leisure facilities of an indoor pool, hot tub and exercise room.

The most southerly Quality Inn in Colorado Springs is part of a small group of hotels either side of I-25 junction 138 (Lake Road/Circle Drive). The building is not the newest but the 111 rooms are large and well maintained, and all have a microwave/refrigerator. There are several restaurants adjacent to the hotel and a few shops on the far side of the street. The hotel's pool is indoors, next to a hot tub; other amenities are a fitness center, business center, picnic area, guest laundry and free continental breakfast.
