Black Hawk Hotels

The Ameristar Resort is the largest of several hotel/casino properties in the historic city of Black Hawk, in the wooded canyon of North Clear Creek towards the east edge of the Rocky Mountains, 34 miles from downtown Denver. There are several mountain preserves close by, including Golden Gate Canyon and Clear Creek Canyon. The 71,500 square foot gaming floor holds over 1,000 slot machines plus 22 poker tables, while the spacious guest rooms are contained within a 33 storey tower; all have spectacular views along the valley. Other amenities are a rooftop pool, a luxurious spa, meeting facilities and a range of bars & restaurants. As of 2021 the resort is part of the Choice Hotels Ascend Collection.
