South Scalloped Spring, as its name suggests, lies immediately south of Scalloped Spring and unlike its neighbor the pool has a natural appearance, filled to ground level by clear, bubbling water, ringed by delicate sinter formations. The waters flow down a colorful channel stained orange by algae into the adjacent Firehole River.
