East Chinaman Spring
is a similarly sized pool a few feet east of Chinese Spring
, on the south bank of the Firehole River, viewed from the boardwalk trail on the north side of Old Faithful. Both pools contain clear, permanently boiling water and are surrounded by a small sinter rim. Water runs along a greyish channel for a short distance then downhill into the river, immediately opposite the more colorful outflow of Cascade Geyser
on the far side.
