Sidney Hotels

One of several new hotels in Sidney, the three floor Wingate by Wyndham faces Hwy 16 on the south side of town, just across the street from a park and a wooded stream, and close to open countryside. There are several restaurants and small shops in the vicinity. The hotel provides free breakfast, including a few hot items. 650 sq ft of meeting space caters for events of up to 50 people. Guest rooms feature a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and free wi-fi. A fitness center and hot tub are available, though no swimming pool.

Holiday Inn Express Sidney backs on to open farmland, at the edge of the city along Hwy 16, which reaches the Canadian border 100 miles north. Most facilities in town are to the south, including at least six restaurants within two blocks. Accommodations comprise regular rooms and studio suites, these latter equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, sink and sofa bed. Wi-fi and hot breakfast buffet are complimentary, and drinks/snacks can also be purchased from the onsite convenience store. A business center, indoor pool and a 14-person boardroom are also available. The hotel was built in 2014, and is popular both with leisure travelers and people working in the nearby Bakken Oil Fields.

Candlewood Suites Sidney opened late 2014 along with an IHG sister property (Holiday Inn Express), situated on the north side of the city within sight of the countryside yet a short walk from various shops (including a supermarket) and restaurants. The hotel caters more for the extended stay traveler, offering 114 studio suites, equipped with a full kitchen, work desk, dining table and free wi-fi. Barbecue grills provide an alternative to in-room cooking, while snacks & drinks are available for purchase from the onsite convenience store. The hotel also has a mudroom, for workers in the oil or construction industries, complete with showers and laundry.

Best Western Golden Prairie Inn is a new chain hotel in Sidney, MT, built early 2012 along Hwy 16 a few blocks south of the town center, within a few miles of the Yellowstone River, the North Dakota stateline, and the Bakken/Elm Coulee oil fields. The four story hotel has a restaurant on site which serves free full breakfast each morning, plus a convenience store where snacks & drinks may be purchased, while for relaxation an indoor pool, whirlpool and small fitness center are available.

MainStay Suites Sidney (open summer 2015) has a quiet location along Hwy 16 from Culbertson, one mile west of the city center where most of the shops and restaurants are situated. Sidney Health Care Center is just across the road, while Richland County Fair and Rodeo, and Sidney Country Club are also within walking distance. The hotel provides affordable, apartment-style accommodations; all guest rooms include a full kitchen, and some have an extra sofa bed. Wi-fi and continental breakfast are complimentary; also available are a fitness center, business center and coin-operated laundry.

One of a pair of new hotels to open in Sidney in 2012, the Microtel Inn has a southerly location along Central Avenue (Hwy 16) adjacent to several restaurants and one block from a supermarket, in an otherwise lightly developed area within sight of open farmland. Sidney-Richland Municipal Airport is less than 2 miles away. The inn features affordable, spacious lodging with a refrigerator & microwave in each room and all the standard amenities, including free hot breakfast, guest laundry, fitness center, hot tub & pool, business center & meeting space.
