Steamboat Springs Hotels

The Sheraton Villas are part of the Steamboat Ski Resort, the center of winter activities at Steamboat Springs - just a short walk from bars, shops, restaurants and the ski lifts. In summer, when the hills are draped with wildflowers, the hotel is an ideal base for hiking and cycling. Accommodations comprise studio suites, one, two and three bedroom villas, and one or two bedroom condominiums. All have private balconies or patios, and most enjoy views of the mountains. Villas and condos include a full kitchen. Recreation amenities are the usual pool (outdoor) and 24 hour fitness center. There are four food & beverage outlets on the premises.

The Holiday Inn is the main chain hotel in Steamboat Springs, offering clean rooms, reasonable rates, friendly staff and full service amenities. One highlight is the on site restaurant/sports bar - Rex's American Grill - which is open for breakfast, lunch & dinner (plus room service), and serves great food in a lively atmosphere. Leisure amenities are a fitness center and an outdoor pool/hot tub, these two in a small garden area at the rear that also has several bbq grills, and nice views of the surrounding wooded hills. The AAA Three Diamond-rated Holiday Inn is situated in a semi-rural neighborhood 2.5 miles south of the center of Steamboat Springs along US 40, close to many recreation sites in this part of the northern Colorado Rocky Mountains including Stagecoach Lake, Steamboat Lake, Fish Creek Falls and the Yampa River.

Residence Inn by Marriott is an upscale, extended stay property of 110 suites (two bedroom, one bedroom, studio), all with sofa bed and full kitchen. The hotel adjoins a small stream, Fish Creek, at the rear of a commercial area with restaurants and several large stores, just off Lincoln Avenue (US 40) on the south side of Steamboat Springs, within walking distance of trails and parks alongside the Yampa River. Complimentary amenities include hot breakfast, weekday evening receptions, wi-fi and grocery delivery service. Recreation facilities are a fitness center and swimming pool.

The Homewood Suites is a large, all-suite/extended stay hotel with a scenic location backing on to Walton Creek on the south side of Steamboat Springs, along a very short side road off US 40. All accommodations, which are available in two bedroom, one bedroom and studio layouts (all including a full kitchen), have fine views of the surrounding peaks and slopes. Complimentary amenities are daily hot breakfast, weekday evening receptions, wi-fi and a grocery delivery service. For recreation the hotel has the usual pool (outdoor) and fitness center, plus a games room. There is one restaurant close by and many more in the downtown area, one mile north.

Like most hotels in Steamboat Springs, the 92 room Holiday Inn Express is situated near the south edge of town, along the main road, US 40; set back slightly behind a row of trees, and, to the rear, backing on to a patch of woodland on the far side of which is the Yampa River Trail. The hotel opens winter 2025/2026, offering free hot breakfast buffet, a fitness center and a business center. Most restaurants in the area are a mile or two north.

Quality Inn Steamboat Springs faces US 40 on the south side of town, next to a small river (Walton Creek), by the junction with a side road that leads to Steamboat Ski Area one mile east on the slopes of Mount Werner; the hotel operates a free shuttle to the ski center. The downtown area, including the Old Town Hot Springs complex, is 3 miles north. Although quite small (52 rooms), the hotel has a decent range of amenities; free full hot breakfast, an indoor pool & hot tub, microwave/refrigerator in each room, guest laundry and meeting facilities. The closest restaurant is 0.4 miles south in the Holiday Inn.
