About half way along the 5.3 mile Glen Aulin Trail from Tuolumne Meadows to the Glen Aulin campsite, the path arrives at the edge of a white granite cliff, giving the first good views of the mountainous terrain further west; from here the trail starts to descend more steeply, passing three large waterfalls on the Tuolumne River, and many smaller cascades.
