Half way along the main north-south road through Joshua Tree National Park, the Cholla Cactus Garden is a densely-growing group of teddy bear cholla (opuntia bigelovii), one of the characteristic cacti of the Mojave Desert. The garden can be toured via a quarter mile loop trail.
