Immediately southeast of the Lion Group, Heart Spring is a pretty pool of clear blue water, 15 feet deep and 10 feet across, enclosed by white sinter mats and orange-brown algae. It was named in the 1950s because of its heart-like shape. The pool is generally inactive, its water temperature a little below boiling.
