Churn Geyser
Previous PhotoChurn Geyser, usually just a calm, simmering poolNext Photo

The pool of Churn Geyser is circular, containing pale blue water and measuring six feet in diameter, surrounded by a wide, rather featureless sinter plain. The water is at boiling point, constantly churning, and erupting at intervals. Several run-off channels flow westwards into the Firehole River. The geyser lies about 30 feet from the boardwalk, a little too far to inspect in detail.
