Beauty Pool

With a diameter of 60 feet, Beauty Pool is perhaps the largest spring in the Upper Geyser Basin, and one of the prettiest, filled with clear, greenish blue water and edged by a wide band of orange and brown cyanobacteria, which extends almost to the boardwalk trail. The pool has an underground connection to nearby, similarly colored Chromatic Spring, and their water levels have an inverse relationship. The temperature also fluctuates, but like the water levels, this happens over a long period, of weeks to months.
