is a sheltered, rocky basin at 1,900 feet in the middle of South Mountain Park
, reached by an easy 1.5 mile path (part of the National Trail) starting at the end of the park road at Buena Vista lookout. This panorama shows a typical scene in the valley - a mixture of boulders, bushes and occasional saguaro cacti.
