A panorama from the edge of the cliffs just south of Desert View, the easternmost viewpoint along the South Rim Drive in Grand Canyon National Park. The Colorado River flows far beneath the rim, and is visible 4.5 miles away to the north, flowing past the lower end of Tanner Canyon. To the west, the river is hidden behind a long red ridge between Escalante Butte and Cardenas Butte. The Desert View watchtower rises above the trees a little further along the rim.
