Glen Canyon National Recreation Area > Halls Crossing > QTVR Panorama This view is of Lake Powell 2 miles due south of Halls Crossing Marina, where the lake narrows, curves around several wide bends and is contained within mostly vertical cliffs, though still with some gentle slickrock slopes that allow an easy walk down to the water's edge. The maximum lake level (elevation 3,700 feet) is evident from the contrast between the natural red sandstone and the water-bleached lighter rock below - on this occasion the lake surface was around 3,605 feet. To navigate in a panorama, use the mouse to click and drag the picture left or right, or the keyboard arrow keys. Press the Shift key to zoom in or the Control key to zoom out. |
