The main hotel in the small central Texas town of Clifton is the 43 room, 2 storey Best Western Velkommen at 1215 N Avenue G (county road 6), in a farmland setting a mile north of the town center. Clifton sits at the junction of the Texas Lakes Trail and the Texas Brazos Trail, 35 miles west of Waco and near to several state parks and lakes, the largest being Lake Whitney just 15 miles away. The hotel has an outdoor pool complete with small waterfall, exercise room, guest laundry and business center. Free continental breakfast is served, and each room contains a microwave & refrigerator.
