Northeast Austin Hotels

The Holiday Inn Express Austin North has 84 north or south facing suites in a relatively old but well maintained three floor building located at the southwest corner of I-35 exit 247 (Wells Branch Pkwy), one of a small group of hotels facing the interstate. Nearby towns are Round Rock, McNeil and Pflugerville; the center of Austin is 15 miles south. The hotel offers all the usual, dependable Holiday Inn Express amenities, including free continental breakfast, an outdoor pool, fitness center, business center, newsstand and a microwave/refrigerator in each room. There are several restaurants nearby along the main road, though the neighborhood is mostly residential.

Guests at the extended stay Residence Inn Austin North are treated to a range of complimentary amenities including hot breakfast, evening reception (Mon-Thu), internet access and a grocery shopping service. The four storey hotel sits next to a Marriott sister property (SpringHill Suites) on grassy land adjoining I-35 by the Parmer Lane exit, and it offers 88 large, modern suites all equipped with a full kitchen, extra sofa bed and work desk. For leisure, guests have use of an outdoor pool, sports court, outdoor hot tub and a fitness center. There are several restaurants, and a HEB Supermarket, just the far side of the interstate.

The SpringHill Suites is the larger but cheaper of two adjacent all-suite Marriott hotels next to I-35 exit 245 (Parmer Lane), 11 miles north of downtown Austin. The surroundings are quiet and semi rural, with a small artificial lake at the front, and Walnut Creek Park half a mile south. Accommodation comprises 132 studio suites, all containing a refrigerator, wet bar & microwave; snacks for cooking can be purchased 24 hours a day from the on site market. The hotel also provides free hot breakfast, free internet access, a business center, indoor pool/hot tub and laundry. Guests can use the fitness center at the Residence Inn next door.

The latest Marriott hotel to be built near the Parmer Lane exit of I-35, 15 miles north of Austin city center, is the Courtyard - a five floor, 145 room property in a quiet, semi-rural location on the west side of the interstate. The hotel features a cafe (open for breakfast only - buffet or cooked-to-order), a fitness center, pool/hot tub, and the usual facilities for meetings & business. Rooms have all the latest Marriott fixtures and fittings, including flat screen TVs and luxurious bedding. The hotel opened July 2009.

The most affordable of four Marriott properties beside exit 245 (Parmer Lane) of interstate 35 opened spring 2009; Fairfield Inn Austin North has 150 modern, brightly-decorated rooms & suites that all contain a work desk, sofa bed, microwave, refrigerator and extra comfortable bedding. Free wireless internet access is available throughout the property, and free breakfast is served each morning, including a hot sandwich. Leisure amenities are the usual pool (indoor) and fitness center, while for meetings there are two small rooms on site, or larger facilities in the adjacent hotels.
