Dalea formosa - feather peabush, along the trail to Devils Den

The feather peabush grows to heights of 3 feet and is characterized by its small pinnate leaves and the silky tufts that accompany the bright pink flowers, which appear in spring, and sometimes again in September. The bush is found in the lower elevation, desert regions of Big Bend National Park.
