The Holiday Inn Express hotel in Hobbs occupies a spacious site right at the northwest corner of town along the Lovington-Hobbs Highway (state route 18), on the east side, and is 2 miles from New Mexico Junior College, Hobbs Industrial Airpark, Ocotillo Golf Course and the College of the Southwest. Downtown Hobbs is 3 miles southeast. The hotel was renovated in 2006 and offers 65 good sized rooms on 3 floors, an indoor pool, hot tub, health/fitness center and business center. Free continental breakfast is served each day; for lunch/dinner there are half a dozen restaurants within a few minutes walk, and a Wal-Mart across the street.

The newly built (2008) Comfort Suites Hobbs presents an attractive frontage, subtly colored in shades of yellow, with a glass lined lobby at one corner. The hotel is built on farmland a few miles northwest of Hobbs town center along Lovington Highway, though is set back a little from the main road so its 75 oversized rooms allow a quiet night sleep. Some have a full kitchenette, but all are equipped with microwave, refrigerator & 32" plasma TV, and have divided sleeping/living areas. Free deluxe continental breakfast (including waffles), a business center, modern fitness room, convenience store and an indoor pool are the other main facilities.

One of two new Choice Hotels properties to open in Hobbs in 2008, the Sleep Inn accommodates guests in 67 very clean and modern rooms, all equipped with a refrigerator, microwave & flat screen TV; some have a hot tub bath and sofa bed. Rates are quite low, the staff friendly, and the hotel provides all the expected facilities - free continental breakfast, free internet access, laundry, a pool, hot tub and fitness center. Surrounding the hotel is largely undeveloped land, right at the edge of town along Lovington Hwy; the center of Hobbs lies 5 miles southeast.

Recently opened Fairfield Inn & Suites Hobbs has a quiet location right at the edge of the countryside on the north side of town along W Joe Harvey Blvd, a partly residential area though within a mile of various restaurants and shops including a Wal-Mart. Open from June 2008, the 94 room hotel offers the expected amenities of free continental breakfast, fitness room, pool, hot tub and meeting space, together with the typical Marriott qualities of excellent customer service and beautifully clean rooms.

At the southwest corner of the intersection of S Marland Blvd (highway 180/62) with E Snyder St, the Best Western Executive Inn is within a few miles of all major sites in Hobbs town center and adjacent to several restaurants, though the surroundings are generally quiet and residential. The two storey hotel has 62 north or south-facing rooms (all containing a microwave/refrigerator), with an outdoor pool at one side and plenty of parking. Complimentary full breakfast is provided.

The Econo Lodge is one of a group of hotels towards the east of Hobbs town center along Marland Blvd (US 180/62), at 619 N - in a residential neighborhood but close to the start of empty farmland, and 4 miles from the border with Texas. There are many restaurants nearby, though most of the large shops and malls are on the west side of town. The main hotel facilities are an outdoor pool and free breakfast.
