One of the best views of Pyramid Lake is from a sagebrush-covered ridge along the southwest shore, near the junction of NV 445 and 446 - almost all of the 180 square mile lake is in view, while beyond are the distant peaks of the Lake Range and the Fox Range. This viewpoint is 30 miles north of Reno.
