Miles City Hotels

Generally considered the best hotel in Miles City, the Holiday Inn is a fairly old but well maintained property of 52 rooms & suites, a hot tub, indoor pool, business center and laundry; guests appreciate the comfortable beds, the clean rooms, the excellent customer service and the range of choices for the free continental breakfast. The hotel has a quiet, rural location on the south side of I-94, surrounded by farmland, though there is one restaurant opposite and others on the north side of the interstate. The center of Miles City is one mile north, and the Yellowstone River flows past 2 miles further.

Like all hotels in Miles City, the Best Western is located next to I-94 exit 138 (Haynes Avenue; MT 59) on the south side of town, within walking distance of dining and shopping, including a Wal-Mart 2 blocks north. The inn has 2 floors and 54 exterior corridor rooms, some with refrigerator, microwave & sofa bed. Free full breakfast is prepared each morning, and all the other standard facilities are available: indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, business center and guest laundry. Pets are welcome, for a small fee.

The new Sleep Inn Miles City is scheduled for a late summer 2012 opening, adding to the hotel choices along Haynes Avenue (Hwy 59), which intersects I-94 a few blocks south. The three floor inn has 90 well equipped rooms (microwave, refrigerator, pillow top mattresses), looking out over the peaceful neighborhood of houses and small shops. Free hot breakfast is served, and there are several bars & restaurants a short walk away. Pets are welcome, for a fee. Leisure facilities are the usual pool (indoor), hot tub and fitness center; also available are a business center and 100 person meeting room.

Miles City is one of very few towns with lodging along I-94 in southeast Montana - 145 miles from Billings and 270 miles from Bismarck, ND. The Comfort Inn is typical of the choices available - an older property in a quiet location south of exit 138 of the interstate, with clean rooms and the usual amenities. The hotel offers free continental breakfast (including hot waffles), an indoor pool/hot tub, free wi-fi, and facilities for meetings & business. There are a dozen or more restaurants within walking distance.

Econo Lodge Miles City provides basic, budget-priced accommodation in a 55 room, exterior corridor building along Haynes Avenue, the main shopping/dining area in town, beside I-94 exit 138. Although rates are low the motel still has a pool (indoor), and serves free continental breakfast. All rooms contain a microwave & refrigerator, coffee maker and ironing facilities.
