The full service Best Western Plus Butte Plaza Inn sits next to I-15/90 towards the south side of town, adjacent to several restaurants, shops and the golf course at Butte Country Club. The hotel is quite large, with 134 nicely-decorated rooms and a long list of amenities, principally free full breakfast, an on-site lounge, restaurant & casino, a pool, fitness center, sauna & hot tub, a business center and meeting/banquet facilities for up to 80 guests. Some of the rooms contain a refrigerator and microwave.

Most hotels in Butte, MT, are found around I-15/90 exit 127; the Comfort Inn is on the south side of the interstate, near the usual selection of fast food restaurants. The hotel occupies a distinctive red-pink building, of two blocks and 145 rooms, some of which have special amenities such as a hot tub bath and kitchenette, while also available are several kinds of suite. Free continental breakfast is served each morning (including waffles), and the inn has all the expected facilities for leisure (indoor pool, fitness center, sauna) and business (meeting rooms, wi-fi, business center).

Quality Inn Butte offers the usual amenities of free breakfast (including a few hot items), an indoor pool and fitness center, but also an on-site bar and good meeting facilities, with enough space to accommodate events of up to 450 people, theater-style. Microwaves and refrigerators are available in some of the rooms, which are on two floors, accessed by interior corridors. A free shuttle is provided to the Bert Mooney Airport, 2.5 miles south - the inn is located beside exit 127 of I-15, on the south side of town, near several restaurants and city parks. There are several large stores within walking distance, on the far side of the interstate.

Rooms at Hampton Inn Butte are comfortable, quiet and have mountain views; amenities include a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hairdryer and work desk. The hotel is fairly new, located along Harrison Avenue (Hwy 393), half a mile south of the interstate and part of a corridor of shops, restaurants and other businesses that extends another 1.5 miles south to the local airport (Bert Mooney, BTM). Other nearby sites are Butte Country Club, Stodden Park and the World Museum of Mining. The Hampton has the usual facilities of a business center, meeting room, pool, hot tub and fitness room, plus a dining area for the free continental breakfast.

Motel 6 Butte is one of the newer properties of this brand - a large, three floor, interior corridor building in the countryside next to I-15/90 exit 122. This location is 4 miles west of the city center, not near any services except for a few restaurants and gas stations. The motel has limited amenities of free wi-fi, free coffee and guest laundry, but rates are low and the rooms are nice and clean.
