The Candlewood Suites in Idaho Falls opened summer 2008, providing high quality, extended stay/all-suite accommodation in a substantial, four storey building right next to the Snake River - the hotel has a garden with picnic tables overlooking the water, and a hike/bike trail runs past along the river's edge. Surrounding the hotel are various shops and businesses along Yellowstone Highway (US 26), and there are several larger stores a short drive away including Wal-Mart, beside interstate 15. All rooms at the Candlewood Suites are equipped with a full kitchen; food for cooking can be purchased from the 24 hour convenience store. Fairfield Inn Idaho Falls is one of the closest hotels to interstate 15, located adjacent to exit 118 (Broadway Street), next to several fast food restaurants, gas stations and a Wal-Mart superstore. All rooms are nicely decorated in a bright, modern style, and benefit from the luxurious Marriott bedding; a few have a spa and kitchenette facilities. A small, 24 hour convenience store sells drinks & snacks, and the hotel provides free continental breakfast, including hot sandwiches. Leisure facilities are an indoor pool and whirlpool. Facilities may be standard (free continental breakfast, indoor pool, fitness center, guest laundry) but the recently built (summer 2009) Sleep Inn Idaho Falls receives excellent reviews, for its customer service, cleanliness, reasonable rates and the quiet, convenient location, on the south side of the city next to I-15 exit 116. Most rooms look out over farmland and there are few facilities nearby - the nearest restaurants are around 2 miles north, though good quality free continental breakfast is provided by the hotel. All rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and pillow top mattresses.  |  | |
