Top State Parks: 7, Snow Canyon, Utah

Varied features in Snow Canyon State Park include grassy plains, lava caves, cinder cones, tall white cliffs and undulating red slickrock. The park is located just north of St George in far southwest Utah, at the edge of the Mojave Desert, and it has a good range of plants and wildlife. Despite the proximity to the city, the park is relatively little-visited. There are plenty of trails, most quite short.
