Palo Duro Canyon, Texas
PreviousSunday Creek Canyon and the Lighthouse TrailNext

Palo Duro Canyon State Park protects a small part of the largest canyon system in Texas - over 100 miles long and up to 800 feet deep, formed by the Prairie Dog Town Fork of the Red River. The park has a variety of trails, winding across scenic, red rock landscapes of ravines, benches, plateaus and eroded formations, more typical of Utah than Texas.
