Stratton is a small town in the middle of the endless plains of eastern Colorado, and it has one chain hotel, Rodeway Inn Golden Prairie, which is used mostly by travelers driving cross-state on I-70 - the interstate runs past the hotel one block south on Highway 57 (Colorado Avenue). The building has a traditional two storey, exterior corridor construction but with an unusual circular design, and it has plenty of facilities; highlight is the on site restaurant/lounge, open all day from 6 am. Others include an outdoor pool, spa, guest laundry, basic business/meeting services, and a whirlpool/refrigerator in some of the 40 rooms. Free hot breakfast is provided. All the limited visitor services in Stratton are within half a mile.
