Stratton is a small town in the middle of the endless plains of eastern Colorado, and it has one main hotel, the Best Western Golden Prairie Inn, which is used mostly by travelers driving cross-state on I-70 - the interstate runs past the hotel one block south on Highway 57 (Colorado Ave). The building has a traditional two storey, exterior corridor construction but with an unusual circular design, and it has plenty of facilities; highlight is the on site restaurant/lounge, open all day from 6 am. Others include an outdoor pool, spa, guest laundry, basic business/meeting services, and a microwave/refrigerator in each of the 40 rooms. All the limited visitor services in Stratton are within half a mile.
