New Castle in Colorado has just one hotel, the Econo Lodge, situated at the end of a residential street on the east side of town, behind a gas station and right next to exit 105 of I-70. There are several fast food restaurants opposite, and while New Castle offers few facilities, several interesting state parks are found in the hills to the north including Rifle Falls
, Harvey Gap and Rifle Gap. The nearest major town is Glenwood Springs, 13 miles away. The 51 rooms at the inn are clean and quiet; some have extra amenities of a microwave, refrigerator and pull-out sofa bed. The usual free continental breakfast is served each morning, and for relaxation the hotel has an indoor pool & hot tub.
