Georgetown, Colorado is a small, historic town along I-70 near the east edge of the Rocky Mountains, 40 miles from Denver, and it has one chain hotel; the Super 8, located right next to the interstate near a few restaurants and gas stations. All rooms have views of the steep, wooded slopes of Clear Creek Canyon which enclose the town on both sides; there are several 14,000 foot mountains within a few miles including Mt Evans and Grays Peak.
