The hotel has mixed residential/rural surroundings, along Harmony Road right at the southeast edge of Fort Collins, 1.5 miles from I-25 (exit 265).

With 6 floors, 229 rooms and over 16,000 sq ft of meeting space, Marriott Fort Collins is one of the largest hotels in town, and amongst the most luxurious. All the rooms are large, comfortable, decorated in a bright, modern style, and equipped with such upscale amenities as a 32" HD TV. The on site restaurant features regional dishes and is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner & room service, while the Falls Bar serves food and drinks in a cozy, friendly setting. Other facilities include a large fireplace lobby, an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, a whirlpool, fitness center, gift shop, concierge level, and 16 meeting rooms - the largest can seat up to 700. The Marriott is situated next to Foothills Fashion Mall just off College Avenue, 3 miles south of the center of Fort Collins.

The Courtyard hotel in Fort Collins has 112 rooms, a 24 hour convenience store, an outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center and a cafe, open for breakfast only (free with certain room rates). The hotel is centered on an landscaped courtyard garden, providing a retreat from the busy surroundings - nearby Harmony Rd runs through a neighborhood with many restaurants and shops, half way between I-25 and the town center (both are about 3 miles away). The place is relatively new, very clean, well managed, quiet, and has quite a scenic location facing a small artificial lake, around which are mature trees and several footpaths. Many restaurants line the nearby main street (Harmony Rd), though both free hot breakfast and free weekday evening light dinner are served at the hotel. Best Western Kiva Inn is one of several hotels on the main approach to Fort Collins from the east - Mulberry St (Hwy 14), which links with exit 269 of I-25. The surroundings are a mixture of small shops, restaurants and private residences, with Cache la Poudre River flowing by just to the south, and the Link-N-Greens Golf Course a few blocks west. There are 62 rooms available (all with refrigerator, freezer & microwave), and the hotel provides good quality, mid range, reasonably priced accommodation. As expected for this class of hotel, amenities comprise free continental breakfast, an exercise room, outdoor pool and hot tub.

Adjacent to Colorado State University (east side), the Best Western University Inn sits along the main north-south road through Fort Collins (US 287; College Ave), less than a mile from the center of the Old Town district at the junction with Mountain Ave. The pet friendly inn has a relatively quiet, tree-lined location, and it offers 72 clean, recently redecorated rooms, free deluxe continental breakfast, an indoor pool & hot tub, an exercise room and a limited free local area shuttle. The Comfort Suites is a south central Fort Collins hotel, located near to many shopping and dining outlets just off busy Harmony Drive, 5 miles from the city center. The building is quite new and kept very clean, and has above average quality amenities - free deluxe continental breakfast is served, the 66 rooms are larger than usual and contain microwave & refrigerator, and the staff are particularly efficient. Other facilities at this pet friendly, smoke free hotel include an indoor pool, indoor hot tub, and one meeting room.

Because of the high standard of cleanliness throughout the property, the above average (free) hot breakfast, the helpful staff and convenient location, Comfort Inn Fort Collins is generally considered the best mid range hotel in town. The inn is part of a small group of hotels around the main Fort Collins I-25 exit (269; Mulberrry St), close to various shops and restaurants, and 4 miles east of the city center. There are 62 rooms available, all spacious and well maintained, and including several suites containing microwave, refrigerator & extra sofa bed. Foe leisure the hotel has an exercise room, games room, indoor pool and hot tub.

One of several well reviewed Choice Hotels properties in Fort Collins, the Quality Inn & Suites is a handsome three storey building on the south side of town, one block from College Avenue along a side road (Mason St) near many shops and restaurants, within 2 miles of such places as Front Range Community College, Arbor Plaza, Warren Lake, Fossil Creek Park and Foothills Fashion Mall. Rates are fairly low but facilities are good: free deluxe continental breakfast, pool & hot tub, exercise room, microwave/refrigerator in each of the 66 rooms, and several two room suites with a whirlpool bath.

The Econo Lodge in Fort Collins provides budget accommodation for visitors to town, or those traveling by on interstate 25 - the motel is 0.4 miles west of exit 269, along Mulberry St. The city center is 3.5 miles further west. Amenities are limited to free continental breakfast and a microwave/refrigerator in some of the 35 rooms (which are on 2 floors, with interior corridors), but the place is generally bright and clean.

Sleep Inn Fort Collins sits along the main approach to town from the east (Mulberry St), right next to I-25, and just across the road from another Choice Hotels property, the Comfort Inn. The place is quite small (62 rooms), but clean, comfortable and affordable, with free continental breakfast the one main amenity. Some rooms have a microwave and refrigerator. There are many restaurants nearby, around the interstate exit.
