High rise Crowne Plaza Denver towers 16 floors above the downtown area - a large, full service hotel with a restaurant, bar, 364 guest rooms & suites, and 7,387 sq ft of event space (11 meeting rooms). The building is quite old, but the accommodations and public areas are well maintained, and the property has an excellent central location, next to the Denver Pavilions retail/entertainment complex and a few blocks from such places as Civic Center Park, Denver Performing Arts Center, Metropolitan State College and the Colorado Convention Center. Leisure amenities comprise an outdoor rooftop pool and a health/fitness center.  |  | |

Denver's Holiday Inn is the closest hotel to the central I-70/I-25 intersection, located in a rather industrial area just off 48th Avenue, and 3 miles north of downtown. The main road has a couple of restaurants, but all necessary services are available on site - the hotel has a restaurant and bar/night club, an outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, and 7 meeting rooms. Complimentary shuttle is provided to places within a 5 mile radius, and to Denver International Airport, 22 miles east via I-70. Although the building is fairly old, the hotel's 201 rooms are clean and spacious.  |  | |

The Denver Marriott is a typically high class, high rise city center hotel, towering 20 floors above the busy downtown area; it occupies most of one block between Stout, 18th & California streets, less than half a mile from Denver Pavilions and the Colorado Convention Center. Rates are also quite high, reflecting the luxurious rooms, good customer service and the wide range of facilities, which include a restaurant, lounge, Starbucks coffee shop, indoor pool, steam room, hot tub, fitness center, and 27,000 sq ft of meeting/event space. Courtyard Denver Downtown has an enviable central location between Champa and Curtis streets, right next to the 16th St pedestrian mall and so within a short walk of many restaurants, shops, bars and corporate headquarters. The hotel occupies a historic 6 floor building, and its 177 elegantly furnished rooms & suites have views either of the bustling city center or the interior floor to ceiling atrium lobby. The on site restaurant is Rialto Cafe, serving classic American cuisine and open all day for breakfast, lunch, dinner & evening room service; there is also a Starbuck's coffee house on the premises. For meetings/events the Courtyard has 5 rooms (3,200 sq ft of space), while for leisure guests have use of a 24 hour fitness center (no pool or hot tub).  |  | |

One block from the Courtyard stands another Marriott property, the 14 storey Residence Inn (1725 Champa St), regarded by many as the top hotel in central Denver. Although the building is quite old, the hotel is new, opening in 2006 to provide high quality extended stay or all suite accommodation to city center visitors. The 229 suites are available in studio, one bed or two bed layouts - at least twice the size of the average hotel room - and all are very clean, brightly decorated and include a full kitchen. Hot buffet breakfast and weekday evening reception are both provided free of charge; for other dining and entertainment there are many restaurants & bars nearby. The 159 suites are divided into 20 separate blocks, and are available in several configurations; largest is the 850 sq ft two bed/two floor penthouse. The hotel may be new and modern, but TownePlace Suites Denver Downtown occupies a historic art deco building, formerly a print works, located one mile from downtown Denver along Speer Blvd, next to Cherry Creek. Contained within are 123 studio, one bedroom and two bedroom suites, all featuring a full kitchen, large work desk and complimentary internet access. Free basic breakfast is served, while for other meals there are quite a few restaurants several blocks away on Broadway or Lincoln St; staff can advise as to the best choices. Although quite an old, mid rise hotel in an industrial neighborhood, Comfort Inn Denver Central has a good reputation, for its well maintained rooms, helpful staff and above average free continental breakfast. There is a restaurant/lounge on the premises (open for breakfast & dinner), an outdoor pool, gift shop, beauty salon and even a post office. Some rooms are available with added amenities like a microwave, refrigerator and massage shower. The hotel is right next to I-25 exit 215, 4 miles north of downtown Denver.  |  | |

One of the tallest Comfort Inns in the US, this Denver Downtown hotel has 22 floors and 231 rooms, and is surrounded by other high buildings at the center of the city - the inn is situated on the corner of 17th St and Tremont Place, one block from Denver Pavilions and the 16th Street Mall.
