QTVR Panorama from Taft Point, Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park > Glacier Point Road > Hiking > Taft Point Trail > QTVR Panorama

From the very edge of Taft Point, a little way beyond the end of the official trail from the Glacier Point Road, several miles of Yosemite Valley is visible over 3,000 feet below. To the west, the sides of the valley are formed by Cathedral Rocks and El Capitan, then moving east is the steep, wooded valley of Eagle Creek, the peaks of the Three Brothers and then the waterfalls of Yosemite Creek. To the south is the granite promontory forming the point and the wooded plateau beyond, with the the upper part of Profile Cliff just to the east.
