Half way (2.5 miles) between the centers of Hollywood and Beverly Hills, Best Western Sunset Plaza Hotel has a fine location in an upscale neighborhood along Sunset Blvd, close to plenty of shops and restaurants. The 100 rooms are particularly large & elegant, and contain a microwave, refrigerator, flat screen TV, granite work surfaces and other modern amenities. Half look out over the leafy surroundings, the others face inwards over the sizeable outdoor pool and courtyard area, which is adorned with many tropical plants. Good quality free continental breakfast, covered parking, guest laundry, business center and meeting rooms are the other main facilities.

Rodeway Inn Los Angeles has low rates and limited facilities, but quite a good location, along Beverly Blvd within a few miles of Hollywood & Beverly Hills, and right opposite the CBS TV Studios. Also just across the road, Pan Pacific Park features shady footpaths, bbq pits, baseball/basketball courts and a children's playground. There are 33 rooms available at the interior corridor motel, all small but generally clean; some have a microwave & refrigerator. Complimentary continental breakfast is the one main amenity.
