Clarion Hotel West Covina occupies an older building, and its 131 microwave/refrigerator-equipped rooms are on the small side, but the property still offers full service amenities at relatively low rates. Like the few other hotels in the area it sits alongside interstate 10 (San Bernardino Freeway) close to Westfield Eastland Mall - on the east side of town, half way between Los Angeles and Rancho Cucamonga. The main facilities are a cafe (open for breakfast, dinner & room service), a lounge/bar, a modern fitness center, 3 meeting rooms, and a nice pool, surrounded by a small garden at the quiet north side of the building. There are many other dining outlets a short walk away along the road past the hotel (Garvey Ave N, known as 'restaurant row').

All 126 clean & comfortable rooms at Best Western West Covina Inn are equipped with a microwave and refrigerator; some have one or more of a hot tub bath, extra sofa bed and kitchenette. Those on the north and west sides are quieter as they face away from I-10, which runs right past the hotel - access is from exit 38 (Grand Ave) - although south-facing rooms have the best view, over the hotel's well maintained outdoor pool and garden. Free deluxe continental breakfast is available, while for lunch/dinner nearby Restaurant Row has almost a dozen restaurants to choose from. Just beyond (half a mile west) is the Westfield Eastland shopping center. Other facilities of the Best Western include a hot tub, guest laundry and several meeting rooms.

Newly built (fall 2009), the 109 room Fairfield Inn is the first Marriott hotel in the West Covina area, offering clean rooms and good customer service at affordable rates. Free continental breakfast, free internet access, a pool, fitness center and business center are the main amenities. The inn is part of the line of restaurants and other hotels along E Garvey Avenue N, the northern I-10 frontage road (accessed from exit 37B) - a short walk from the Eastland Shopping Center and a couple of miles east of downtown West Covina. Opening is scheduled for October 2009.
