Union City's Holiday Inn Express is situated close to the only other major hotel in town (the Crowne Plaza) at 31140 Alvarado Niles Rd, right next to the large Union Landing shopping/dining/entertainment center that includes around 20 restaurants and 25 movie screens. The clean, new hotel receives good guest reviews for its friendly staff, comfortable rooms and the range of facilities - chief of which are an outdoor heated pool, a whirlpool, fitness center, guest laundry and free continental breakfast. Silicon Valley and the center of San Jose are 20 miles south along interstate 880.
