Newly opened (2007), the Courtyard by Marriott has quickly become the top rated hotel in Thousand Oaks, CA. It has 4 suites & 116 rooms, all modern, clean and beautifully decorated, containing a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and of course the extra comfortable Marriott bed. There are 3 dining outlets on site - the Courtyard Cafe serving breakfast, a lounge open for dinner & evening cocktails, and Chili's Grill & Bar - with at least 6 more within one block along the main road. For relaxation the hotel offers the three usual amenities of a fitness center, hot tub and pool. The location is 1710 Newbury Rd (the southern frontage road for US 101), on the west side of Thousand Oaks near Ventu Park and Newbury Park.

Between the centers of Thousand Oaks and Greenwich Village, Best Western Thousand Oaks Inn is quite a substantial 4 floor building, nicely adorned with palm trees and flowers, including a sheltered courtyard garden. The location is just off Moorpark Rd by the 101 Freeway, close to many shops & restaurants (plus a movie theater) at the Janss Marketplace and The Oaks shopping malls. Also nearby, on the far side of the freeway in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains is the Los Robles Greens public golf course. The Oaks Inn has a restaurant/coffee shop on the premises, a heated outdoor pool & hot tub, library, guest laundry and an Enterprise car rental desk. Most of the 106 spacious rooms have a balcony; all contain a microwave & refrigerator, amongst many other amenities.

The hotel faces US 101 towards the west side of town, built at the edge of a residential district along the southern frontage road, and close to a selection of restaurants & shops. The far side of the freeway is home to many of the technology companies in Thousand Oaks.
