The main hotel in the mountain town of Pollock Pines is the Best Western Stagecoach Inn - a small (26 room), log cabin-style building surrounded by tall pine woodland on the main road through town, the Pony Express Trail. US 50 runs alongside, just south of the hotel but out of sight behind the trees. Top floor rooms have private balconies and enjoy distant views over forested hills; some overlook the hotel's outdoor pool. Pollock Pines has a fair selection of restaurants, mostly a mile away in the town center, though a few are closer. The Stagecoach Inn serves free continental breakfast.
