The main gate at Disneyland is an easy 6.5 mile drive from the Holiday Inn Express in Placentia, a good quality, well managed hotel also within a few miles of the Mall at Orange, the Angel Stadium, California State University Fullerton and Anaheim town center. Facilities include 100 very clean and comfortable rooms (including 30 suites with Jacuzzi and kitchenette), free hot breakfast buffet, a fitness center, plenty of well lit parking, and a nice pool/hot tub/sun deck in a sheltered area well away from the main road - all this at relatively low rates. Right next to the Residence Inn stands another Marriott property, the Fairfield Inn. The 131 guest rooms are very clean and modern, as are the public areas which comprise a business center, outdoor pool, fitness center and a dining area for the free continental breakfast (includes a hot sandwich). Surrounding the hotel is a mostly business neighborhood though with several restaurants a few minutes walk away along Orangethorpe Avenue; Placentia is a couple of miles north, and the center of Anaheim is 4 miles southwest.
