The 9 storey Marriott is the main full service hotel in the Norwalk/Downey districts of east Los Angeles, and a recent renovation has maintained its high standards of cleanliness and facilities. This is an older, 3 floor, exterior corridor motel with an outdoor pool, hot tub, newsstand, and plenty of parking at the front. The east side is right next to interstate 5, though shielded from it by a line of trees. Free continental breakfast is served each morning; for dinner & lunch there are many nearby restaurants, along Imperial Hwy and Pioneer Blvd, plus a Super Wal-Mart right opposite. Besides Norwalk, the hotel is within a few miles of Santa Fe Springs, Cerritos, Downey and La Mirada.

A recent renovation has maintained the reputation of the Rodeway Inn as the best budget hotel in Norwalk; rates are very reasonable but the 42 rooms are large and modern, the furniture is new and of good quality, and most rooms contain a microwave & refrigerator. Other amenities are somewhat limited, as expected - just free internet access, free coffee & pastries, a basic business center and a guest-use computer. The inn sits amongst shops and restaurants along Imperial Highway, one block from I-5 and half way (13 miles) between Anaheim and downtown Los Angeles.
