The Econo Lodge is the only major hotel in the mostly residential district of Lemon Grove, 2 miles south of La Mesa and 9 miles from downtown San Diego, and is situated along Broadway, a busy street with many restaurants and shops, some right next door. Although quite an old property, all rooms and facilities were remodeled in 2008 following its change of brand to Econo Lodge, so accommodation is clean & comfortable albeit with limited facilities - just free continental breakfast, free internet access, and a refrigerator/microwave in each room.
