November 2009 sees the opening of a new Holiday Inn Express hotel in the Gorman/Lebec/Frazier Park area, built next to several restaurants and gas stations at I-5 exit 205, near the entrance to Fort Tejon State Historic Park and half way (40 miles) between Santa Clarita and Bakersfield. The hotel has 77 modern, comfortable rooms, most with views towards the surrounding mountains, and facilities of a pool, hot tub, fitness center and business center. Free hot buffet breakfast is served.

Best Western Liberty Inn provides good quality lodging for travelers north of Los Angeles along I-5 - the hotel is right next to exit 215 of the interstate (Grapevine), at the edge of the San Emigdio Mountains 15 miles north of Lebec and near such places as Fort Tejon (12 miles) & the Hungry Valley ORV area (20 miles), though the surroundings are mostly quite empty and barren. Free continental breakfast is available, while for lunch/dinner there are at least 7 fast food restaurants nearby. For relaxation guests can make use of an indoor swimming pool, steam room and spa.
