The newest of the three Holiday Inn or Express hotels in Fresno is located near the north edge of the city, alongside CA 41 by the Herndon Ave junction, half a mile south of the River Park shopping center and close to a number of restaurants including Denny's & PF Chang's. To the north, highway 41 leads directly to Yosemite National Park, after 53 miles. The hotel has a smallish outdoor pool, whirlpool and fitness center; free continental breakfast is served.

Courtyard Fresno
The more central of the two Courtyard hotels in Fresno has a typical appearance for this brand with the 144 rooms & suites in 2 blocks enclosing the central landscaped garden, pool and gazebo. Those on the west side are quieter as those on the east overlook Highway 41, which runs close by - access is from the E Shaw Ave exit. The hotel is bordered by a patch of undeveloped land and a small lake, though a short distance west are many shops & restaurants along Blackstone Avenue. Other outlets can be found 0.8 miles away at the Fashion Fair Mall. The Courtyard has a cafe serving breakfast and a lounge open for dinner.

SpringHill Suites Fresno
Open in February 2008, the SpringHill Suites Fresno hotel is a beautiful new, 4 floor building of 118 suites, each with a kitchen area containing a microwave, refrigerator and sink. It has an easily-reached location just off Highway 41 near the north edge of town, at the corner of N Fresno St and E Herndon Ave - within a mile of the River Park Shopping Center, Kaiser Park, and the St Agnes Medical Center. The three main amenities are free hot breakfast, an outdoor pool and a fitness center.

Rated by many as the best hotel in Fresno, Marriott's Residence Inn offers 120 comfortable studio suites containing a full kitchen (plus dishwasher), an extra sofa bed, and separate areas for working, sleeping and relaxing.
