Best Western Country Inn
Like most of the small selection of hotels in Fortuna, the Best Western Country Inn is on the south edge of town, just west of US 101 (Kenmar Rd/Riverwalk Dr exit), and beside the Eel River. The hotel's 66 rooms have views either west towards the estruine river or east over a thin belt of partly wooded land beside the highway. Amenities include a swimming pool (half indoor, half outdoor), a 24 hour coffee shop and complimentary full breakfast. Nearby restaurants are a Denny's and a Subway; others can be found around a mile north towards the center of Fortuna.

Most of the 46 rooms at the Holiday Inn Express Fortuna have relaxing views westwards over the Eel River and the surrounding, undeveloped countryside; the hotel is a mile from the center of Fortuna, at 1859 Alamar Way, close to the Riverwalk Dr exit of US 101 and 15 miles south of Eureka, on Humboldt Bay. The historic town of Ferndale, with its original Victorian buildings, is 8.5 miles away. At 583 Riverwalk Drive (S 12th St), the Comfort Inn & Suites hotel is 1.4 miles south of the center of Fortuna, right on the banks of the Eel River and with only a few miles of undulating farmland between here and the Pacific Ocean.
