The Holiday Inn Express is generally reckoned to be the best of the small selection of hotels in Colton, CA - along I-215 (by the Iowa/Cadena exit), a few miles south of San Bernadino. The place is quite large, with 150 well presented rooms in two 4-floor blocks, either side of a nice tropical pool/garden area, and it has a good reputation for cleanliness, comfort, and the welcoming staff. Better than average free continental breakfast is served each day, including several hot items, and while the neighborhood has only limited facilities, there are a couple of fast food restaurants next door. Other amenities at the AAA Three Diamond hotel include a hot tub, exercise room, guest laundry, and complimentary local area shuttle.

The Comfort Inn sits along a quiet residential street in Colton, two blocks from I-10 at the Mt Vernon Avenue exit, beside which are several restaurants. The largest mall in the area is the Inland Crossing Center, 2 miles north. Guests have use of a decent range of facilities, principally an outdoor pool, fitness center, sun deck, laundry, business center and meetings space. Free continental breakfast is provided, and some rooms are equipped with a refrigerator & microwave.
