Two major nearby leisure destinations are the main reasons to stay in the Rodeway Inn at the small town of Castiac - Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park is 6.5 miles south at the edge of Santa Clarita/Valencia, while Castiac Lake State Recreation Area is a couple of miles north. The 120 room inn is easily reached from interstate 5, on the east side between exits 176A & 176B, and while the immediate surroundings are not very inspiring (a truck depot), the hotel itself is pleasant enough, and has amenities of an outdoor heated pool, newsstand, free continental breakfast, guest laundry and plenty of parking. There is one restaurant adjacent and a few more just up the road.
