The nearest freeway is I-880 (3.5 miles).

The 50 one or two bed studio suites at Hawthorn Suites Oakland/Alameda all have a wet bar with microwave, refrigerator & coffee maker, plus separate sleeping/living areas, a work desk and free internet access. The hotel is quite centrally located in Alameda along Webster St, close to many shops & restaurants, and within 2 miles of downtown Oakland, the Alameda Naval Complex, South Shore Shopping Center and various beaches along San Francisco Bay. Rates are quite low, and facilities are good - also available are free hot breakfast, free social hour on selected weekdays, a hot tub, fitness center, business center and meetings facility.

Days Inn Alameda is a small (50 room), exterior corridor property along Webster Street near the center of town, right opposite Alameda College and a short drive from Oakland via the Inner Harbor bridge. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance, and a selection of shops at Marina Village, half a mile north. The inn offers a small outdoor pool, basic business services and the standard free continental breakfast. Rooms are generally clean and simply furnished, though all are equipped with a microwave & refrigerator.
