This is the view from the end of the north branch of the Wilson Mountain Trail, above Sterling Canyon at the edge of Oak Creek Canyon. Ahead is a large area of red and white sandstone cliffs, part of the Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness; beyond here the land is mostly flat and wooded, apart from the volcanic San Francisco peaks on the horizon, near Flagstaff. |
